CELEBRATED TEACHERS DAY AT SIDHU KANU F.P. SCHOOL.

On September 11, 2025, the Rotary Club of Asansol Green City celebrated Teachers Day at Sahid Sidhu Kanu Free Primary School. We honored three dedicated teachers - Subrata Ghosh, Sushmita Das, and Priyanka Kabi - with Nation Build Awards (NBA) certificates and Uttari. Small gifts were also presented to express our appreciation. Our President, Rotarian Rohit Kyal, delivered an inspiring speech to the students about the importance of education. The schools Principal, Subroto Ghosh, shared how Rotarys involvement has positively impacted the school. CELEBRATED INDEPENDENCE DAY AT FREE PRIMARY SCHOOL

On 15TH August , the Rotary Club of Asansol Green City celebrated the city 79th anniversary of Independence with great enthusiasm, zeal and pride at Shaheed Sidhu Kanu Free Primary School. The program started with Rotarian President Rohit Kyal hoisting the tricolor and after that everyone sang the national anthem. Shaheed Sidhu Kanu is a free primary school, in which the Rotary Club of Asansol Green City celebrates Independence Day every year with great pomp. The children of the school presented many patriotic dance songs which were very captivating. After the program, all the children were given breakfast and school bags, copies, chocolates, stationery kits etc. were distributed. The happiness on the faces of the children was giving peace to the mind. Jai Hind, Vande Mataram.

MATERNAL AND CHILD HEALTH CARE

Rotary Club of Asansol Green City celebrated “Maternity and Child Health Care” in Month of July on 25/07/25. Our club visited ESI Hospital, Asansol and distributed 30 kits among pregnant women, mothers and newborn babies, these kits contained Horlicks, sanitary pads and a gift pack for childrens use etc. Rotarian President Rohit Kyal said that a lot of cooperation was received from the doctors of the hospital. This noble work was completed with the permission of Medical Superintendent Dr. Atanu Bhadra. Rotary Club of Asansol Green City wholeheartedly thanks Medical Superintendent Dr. Atanu Badra, Assistant Medical Superintendent Dr. P.S. Dutta, Gynec Head of Department Dr. Shankar Day etc. for their full support. In this event total 8 ROTARIANS and 3 ANNES were present.

AS WE ALL KNOW, "TREES ARE LUNGS OF OUR PLANETS." PLANTING TREES IS THE SINGLE MOST EFFECTIVE ACTION ANY INDIVIDUAL OR ORGANISATION CAN TAKE TO TRULY HEAL THE ENVOIRMENT. BY PLANTING TREES, WE ARE TRYING TO INVEST IN A HEALTHIER FUTURE FOR OURSELVES AND GENERATIONS TO COME. ITS TIME TO EMBRACE OUR MOTHER EARTH BY COMING TOGETHER FOR THIS NOBLE CAUSE.
